Info Workshops in activism research and How to put together information and knowledge from the social movements and how to outreach/distribute this research during a Communication Strategies meeting in Oviedo (North Spanish State) from the 13 to the 10 of April 2003.

Workshops related with ACTIVISTM RESEARCH during the Comunication strategies meeting in Pola de Lena (Asturias) from 13 to 20 of April

- SOCIAL activist research general workshop. Contents:
Someone can give a panorama view about the situation of the social activist
research.
Explanation of the possibilities of Action-participation Methodology of
intervention and the collective creation of knowledge.
Then can be several presentation of the work of this groups and a debate
about the problematic of the Social activist research and ways for enforce it
and facilitate the access and to the knowledge in network that is created by
this groups.

Hello from the Easter meeting preparation team !

We hope you already know that EYFA (www.eyfa.org) and Escanda (www.escanda.org) as well as some other individuals are organising a skill sharing meeting in Pola de Lena, Asturias, Spanish State, during the Easter weekend (13th to the 20th of April).

We would like to remind the people who are interested in coming or organizing workshops that the deadline for sending the application form (attached) is the 18th of March (Uuuuuuuuuu, just 5 days left!!!!!!).

We also wanna remind you that it's very important for us to know beforehand who's going to come. So please fill it out as soon as possible !

We also want to emphasize that one important aim of the skill sharing easter- meeting is to broaden the meaning of
"Communications Strategies", which means that communication means much more than "networking" or "alternative media".

By “comunication strategies” we also mean “our interpersonal relationships, the way we run meetings and make decisions, how we interact with our local communities, how we network, how we talk about our struggles, how we represent ourselves, and are represented in the media, and how we share and distribute information”.

Some of the workshops proposals that have been proposed are: facilitating/good meeting practice, building better distribution networks for radical media, activism social research, interview techniques, internet skills – but we’re keen to include much more! So suggest workshops you’d like to see or organize.

We are really looking for people who will play an active and participatory role in the meeting, with experience but also are thinking in new people in the networks!!!!!. We are hoping for a diverse and stimulating mix of participants that will create an atmosphere of mutual learning and creativity.
