Hi People,
Miguel, I agree with you, the list should get alive and kicking with everybody's concerns, something that will help to shape up next year's meeting. I don't see the need to cencor according to personal interests or concerns. In the meanwhile, I want to remind you there is a BLOG option on the CASA website, as well as a LINKS page. If you want to send a message to add to the blog so that other people can read and answer and start a discussion off the list, please send your blog to me (n.roei at uva.nl) and I will post it on the website. Also, if you want to share links to sites that are relevant, do the same. The website needs to be shaken up, just as much as the email list does!
As for those interested in links and blogs and discussions, http://lebanesebloggers.blogspot.com/ is a great bloggers site that you should read if you're involved/interested in the current "war". I'll add it to the website asap.
cheers,
Noa

hi all,
I always wanted to know what is this list for, and maybe this discussion can help.
My opinion:
1) it's great to be in the list and to receive some unexpected messages like the articles about the "war" in middle east; I would prefer not too many and have other clues to go further (other lists of discussion, links...);
2) along this, if we would post more about "practice" and these kind of real/political conflicts, maybe we would post more about theoretical concerns and contents for the next CASA editions.
So, we all should send more messages about what we are worried in our everyday life/politics in order to feed the programme of discussions and workshops for the next meeting. If we don't do it, maybe CASA meeting is lacking of a basic way of true participation of all of us.
Well, best wishes to all from Beijing right now.
Miguel
